
And we're off. The 2026 season for Challengers Cricket Club opened with a practice fixture against Sarnia Cricket Club — a match that gave the squad an early read on conditions, fitness, and how the new structure of the team is shaping up before league play begins on May 10.

Sarnia put together a strong total of 208 all out in 30 overs, with four batters past 28 runs. Challengers responded with a focused chase, reaching the target in 29.1 overs. With both sides keen to use the full practice window, the innings continued for the remainder of the 30 overs — Challengers finishing on 215/7.

Our LCL T30 season opens May 10 vs London Predators at Northridge Cricket Ground. LPL T30 follows the same day vs Maple Tigers at Silverwoods. Weekly training continues every Wednesday from May 13, 7:00 PM at Silverwoods.
